Tell me if you think this is a sign:

Yesterday, I had to run around Seattle to buy Organic Valerian Root for Feel Dreamy since our usual bulk suppliers are OUT OF STOCK.

Today, I am at Seattle Whole Foods Interbay to deliver an order, 1/3 of which is Feel Dreamy. I need some groceries, so I go into the store. Gigi and I are so hungry that before we do anything else (deliver the order, shop), we sit down to eat. A group of three employees are gathered by the toaster, where my bagel toasts. This is not a case of eavesdropping, there is no way to not hear what I overhear. This is a case of being in the right place at the right time. A synchronous orchestration of the universe, nudging me along, letting me know I’m on the right path.

These three women speak about valerian root and how effective it is in getting them to sleep well. One mentions that some of the teas they sell contain valerian. She jokes they should also include a warning not to operate heavy machinery.

I suppose I could have interjected and told them about the brand new valerian tea, likely on the shelves by this evening, made by a small Seattle artisanal tea start-up. An organic loose-leaf tea tasting of cardamom, vanilla, chamomile and green sedative herbs. Maybe I would have gotten three new customers.

Instead, I will tell you. Go check out Seattle’s newest Whole Foods Market on 15th, between Queen Anne and Magnolia. The team out there is especially friendly and helpful. They have plenty of tables and even a glassed off room filled with leather chairs. This WFM is not only a quality grocery store (so rare!), it is a third place. Go hang out and buy some tea.

Of course this is a sign, there are no coincidences. I love signs!! Too bad you didn’t have single serving “samples” to give these women. I love sampling new things and it is a great way to get new customers :) I really enjoy your posts and I trust your teas are delicious, therefore just made my first order for Herbal Philosophy teas and can’t wait to try them!!! Merry Christmas to you and yours!

You’re my kinda woman! “There are no coincidences.” <– I agree. This is a great idea…to carry around serving samples. That would have been so perfect! Actually, when I do "tastings" at Whole Foods, they are very successful and kind of necessary to get the word out. Lastly, thanks so much for your order.
