One of my favorite out-of-the-box websites, NaturalNews.com, regularly posts CounterThink Cartoons to make you scratch your head and see something old in a shockingly new light. As founder of a tea business offering herbal remedies to the world, today’s CounterThink Cartoon caught my eye.

Are psychiatric medications contributing to or detracting from our society? Should we really take so many pills? Pills to make us happy and help us sleep and lose weight and the list goes on.

At this point, I would like to introduce you to my herbal remedies, which can help reduce the number of pills in your life (specifically for the above-mentioned complaints as well as a few others). But as of this morning, my Herbal Philosophy website has been hacked. Defaced. Gone.

Wiped. The web host support person told me to start from scratch. There will always be obstacles on the road to success.

Perhaps the hacker represents psychiatric medications. The former wiping my business’s website, while the latter is wiping our brains.

If you’re curious about Herbal Philosophy, you can’t visit our website, but you can learn more from the Herbal Philosophy Giveaway.

  3. Wow. I can’t believe that. And when it’s your business site too, that makes it even doubly violating. It’s your livelihood. I have used psychiatric medications in the past and found that I was so far removed from myself and in a fog that I’d rather deal with my emotional problem than the side effect of the medication. I’m scared too that during my son’s education, well-meaning mainstreamers will encourage us to medicate him for his hyperactivity and lack of focus. This goes against my entire homeopathic sensibility. I wish you great ease in putting your site back together, and I’m so sorry that it happened. I guess it’s back to the affirmations page for coping.

That’s AWFUL news… I’m so sorry about the website. I don’t understand people sometimes. :( I wish you all the best of luck in getting up and running again.

Interesting point about medications – I have to say I agree that we have a tendency to rely on them as a “magic cure” for most everything, and I think the world would do a lot of good going natural every once in a while. That being said, there are some things that have to be administered medically – I’ve tried everything in the book for staying asleep through the night, and the only thing that works is pills. But other than that, I’m pretty good! (I think!)

Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear about the website! I also hope you’ll get it sorted out soon & all will be even better than new. I totally agree with the scariness of all the psychiatric meds people take nowadays.

  8. Oh, dear! That’s no good at all. That must’ve been very, very heartbreaking. I hope you get it back soon, ’cause I’d love to see it.

On a lighter note, I’ve been thinking all day about creating new habits, and “creating” a new you – so when I saw your tagline, I was instantly smitten.

Time to browse. So glad I found you!

Lucy, it’s official, “new” technologies have something against you, after your blog comments wiped in the migration, now some malicious attempt to shut down on of your enterprises.
