cloth diaper update
I started to cloth diaper my little one’s tiny tush a few weeks ago. If you are interested in knowing WHY I would be so crazy, please see this post. I must admit, cloth diapering makes me feel pretty good about myself. No more diaper waste, therefore I am greener. My baby looks damn cute with a fluffy butt. The diaper laundry is no big deal and I have been more diligent about keeping up with the regular laundry, meaning that I am a better wife. See what I mean about feeling good about myself?
But I’m not completely selfish and I have a greater reason for loving cloth diapers. Giovanna has a perfect bum. No. Not perfect as in Beyonce-perfect. She’s less than 3 months old for crying out loud. I mean she has absolutely no diaper rash. It didn’t disappear over night, but it is now completely gone. I feel like a better mother as well as a better wife. I know. Everything always seems to come back to ME. Sorry.
I guess it’s true that you can’t help others without helping yourself as well. Lesson of the day.
So, now that my family is committed to cloth diapering, I am thinking of adding to my stash. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!
And if you’re a mom and interested in learning more about cloth diapering, let me know. I’m not an expert, but I do know a thing or two and I’m happy to help.
In other news, my trusty computer is currently broken. So I’ve hijacked my husband’s. But I miss the convenience of mine. I miss my bookmarks, my music, my photos. And I despise having to type in password after password. This computer just doesn’t know me…
Also, it dawned on me yesterday that Giovanna is no longer a tiny newborn and she is more comfortable with her legs hanging from the Moby Wrap. I guess I was in denial about the size of my little one. Babies grow too fast. What’s a mom to do? It’s not like I can stop feeding her.
Here she is this morning. Gotta love the random ears attached to her hood.

Your baby is so cute! Found you in such a roundabout way and I’m loving everything that I’ve read so far. I used cloth diapers with my girl too. So much trial and error involved but well worth it.
Glad you found me! Yes, I am truly loving cloth diapers. I wanted to cloth diaper for a while before I started and I’m so glad I stopped being *scared.*
I love your writing!! Your baby girl is adorable and cloth diapering is straight-up awesome. As a momma who recently started cloth diapering too, I know that it IS all about you… As much as it is all about baby, hubby, the earth… I also found your blog in a roundabout way, but I can’t wait to read more!
